Hawkes has been growing Cabernet in the bucolic Alexander Valley since 1972 and now offers a seated tasting at our Alexander Valley and Sonoma Plaza tasting rooms, focused on our tiny production estate wines.

Seated Patio Tasting – Alexander Valley
Thursday – Tuesday, by reservation
The best winery in Healdsburg lies off the beaten path. Just ten minutes from the Healdsburg Plaza, our patio is shaded by wisteria and frequented by the Hawkes chickens and our beloved winery dog, Capone.
Our Estate Flight Tasting includes four wines: Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a featured Single Vineyard Cabernet.
$25/person. Members receive complimentary tastings based on club tier.
What to expect:
- Please plan for a 1 hour tasting experience.
- All tastings are hosted outdoors on our patio.
- For your safety, and the safety of our staff and other guests, face coverings are required for all guests, except when seated at your table.
- Tables are set at a minimum of 6 feet apart, and maximum group size is 6 guests.
- Sanitizer will be provided at every table, and we’ll frequently be cleaning all seating areas and touch-points.
- Space is limited, and we request a 24 hour cancellation notice.
Seated Patio Tasting – Downtown Sonoma
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, by reservation
Enjoy a seated tasting in the heart of downtown Sonoma. Located just off the main plaza, our Sonoma tasting room is a lovingly restored 1920’s bungalow and offers tastings on its charming patio.
Our Estate Flight Tasting includes four wines: Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a featured Single Vineyard Cabernet.
$25/person. Members receive complimentary tastings based on club tier.

- Please plan for a 1 hour tasting experience.
- Currently all tastings are hosted outdoors on our patio. The patio does have an overhead tent and space heaters.
- For your safety, and the safety of our staff and other guests, face coverings are required for all guests, except when seated at your table.

Private Vineyard Tasting – Alexander Valley
Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday / 10:30 am or 2:30 pm
Enjoy a private tasting at one of our estate vineyards overlooking Alexander Valley. This tasting focuses on our small production wines, and includes cheese & charcuterie.

OUR STORY
Our family has been growing grapes in the Alexander Valley for over forty years. Back then, people didn’t think about world class Cabernet when they thought about Alexander Valley. Now things are a little different. We farm three estate Cabernet Vineyards and have supplied grapes for some of the most famous wines ever made in California. In 2002, we made the first vintage of wine under our own name Hawkes. 100% estate Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley, grown and crushed and barreled and bottled by our family.
